The Interior Fitter/Finisher works in the Production/ Vehicle Assembly department of an automotive company, installing and finishing interior components for commercial, military, and specialized vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit vehicle interior components
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit interior materials
• Install thermal insulation and acoustic insulation
• Cut, trim, shape, and finish automotive interior materials
• Fit upholstery and finishing materials to seats and panels
• Inspect installed interior components for alignment and quality

Requirements

• Technical certificate or vocational qualification in Automotive Interior Fitting or related trade
• 2-5 years of experience in automotive interior installation or related field
• Practical experience in cutting, fitting, and finishing interior materials
• Ability to read basic technical drawings
• Relevant upholstery or industrial insulation training is desirable
• Experience with commercial vehicle manufacturing or specialized vehicle assembly is preferred
