A Lab Technician is needed at a healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Explain blood collection procedures to patients
- Ensure accurate specimen labeling and handling
- Prioritize STAT samples over routine requests
- Demonstrate proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Knowledge of specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transportation
- Understanding of infection prevention, hand hygiene, and sharps safety
- Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS/SCHS) registration and license
- Strong patient communication, empathy, and professional conduct
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
